ASA 104 & 114 - Catamaran & Bareboat Cruising - 7/11 to 7/14

Skipper a sloop-rigged, auxiliary powered keelboat or catamaran of approximately 30 to 45 feet in length during a multi-day cruise upon inland or coastal waters in moderate to heavy winds (up to 30 knots) and sea conditions. Knowledge of provisioning, galley operations, boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, routine maintenance procedures, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation including basic chart plotting and GPS operation, multiple-anchor mooring, docking, health & safety, emergency operations, weather interpretation, and dinghy/tender operation.

As part of the class students with do actual provisioning, coordination and paying for food / fuel / mooring / docking. Learn options for scheduling ahead, proper radio communication with vendors, and more. 

Limit to 3 staterooms 

note: Price includes one stateroom & one student, additional non-student guest sharing the stateroom is free; student guest sharing the stateroom is an additional $600.

Arrive at boat at 1 pm on first day, provision and learn the boat; get underway if remaining daylight allows.

Underway 2nd day by 9 am; moor by 4 pm.

Underway 3rd day by 9 am; moor by 4 pm.  Take first written exam that evening.

Underway 4th day by 9 am; take second written exam while underway; moor at home base at 11 am
